MASON TO JOIN WORLD CHAMPIONS FOR WRC RALLY NEW ZEALAND PRESS CONFERENCE

The Masterton Flyer will sit alongside six-times World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb, 2003 Champion Petter Solberg, and the two most recent Junior World Champions – Sebastien Ogier (2008) and Martin Prokop (2009). Double WRC round winner and Ford Works Team number 2 driver, Jari-Matti Latvala, will complete the rostrum for the Question and Answer session.
“What an honour,” said Richard, “We thought being awarded a PWRC Guest Entry by the Rally NZ organisers was ‘Right Up There’, but to get the chance to appear with the world’s best [rally drivers] to represent our category, Subaru and, I guess, New Zealand, at one of the most prestigious and high profile activities of any WRC round, is fantastic!”
The Press Conference is televised and the transcript published worldwide, and will take place in the Rally New Zealand Media Centre in the Sky City Grand Hotel at 1.30pm tomorrow -Thursday May 6th – as part of the final stages of the build-up to the Rally’s Ceremonial Start activities from 4pm at the Viaduct Harbour in downtown Auckland.
The competition side of this fifth round of the World Rally Championship starts early on Friday morning, for three days of highly anticipated high speed action on the world renowned classic rally roads in the Whangarei, Kaipara, Franklin and Waikato districts before the champagne corks are popped back at the Viaduct Harbour from 3pm on Sunday afternoon.
